At Stereophile, we're no strangers to UPS troubles, but this was something we'd never seen before. The package vanished mid-shipment! Thornberry sent me an email, "I’m going to just guess that it has been damaged or lost." While I was shocked, I assured him to not lose hope. We filed a missing package report.
The next day, the record cleaner showed up back at the office unannounced. The old label was still affixed, and the scanner in Mesquite had returned it here. Doh! I sent it back to David immediately. He let me know when he got it: "It made it in one piece, and it works fine!"
Three-hundred-and-ninety-six comments and you were the lucky one Mr. Thornberry. I hope the luck continues! Happy record cleaning.
